I grew up in Jamaica by the sea and was blessed with a carefree existence. I loved swimming and sailing and I'll tell you, it was an everyday struggle not running away to go fishing or diving rather than going to school. I certainly understood the pleasures of an island vacation.

Now, I want to give you a chance to experience island living, how I experienced it growing up. Come and stay at one of my family's private homes, villas that I chose that reflect a true Jamaican getaway. These villas all offer a little slice of the authentic Island life that so many people come to Jamaica to discover. Each home is cared for by the villa staff or as I like to call it, the "family," who always take care of our guests with the utmost care and attention, as if you were a guest in their home.

Whether it's the unbelievable beauty of Rio Chico's grounds, with the sounds of the Dunn's River waterfalls cascading through the property, or the laid back, easy-going vibe of Sundown villa, or the secluded and untouched beauty of Lime Acre, these spots are near and dear to my heart. So if you are looking for a spot to reconnect with your loved ones and enjoy true, island living at its very best, come stay with us and let us take care of you, you may not ever want to leave.

The stunning Rio Chico was built in the late 1800's and was originally operated as Dunn's River Guest House. It was sold in 1936 to Mr Crosse of the Crosse & Blackwell family (famous purveyors of gourmet chutney's, jams and spreads since the 1700's) who commissioned Italian stonemasons to design and construct the walls and statuary throughout the gardens.

Villa Plantana sits on site of the most recent and upscale addition to the Sandals Portfolio. Villas Plantana offers the perfect combination of renting your own private villa while having access to all the amenities of a full service resort.

Sundown was the first private villa that Mr Stewart purchased for use as a private home and at the time it was the first vacation home in the now exclusive enclave of Discovery Bay. The Bay is most famous for its place in history as locals believe this to be the location where Christopher Columbus first landed on Jamaica soil in 1494.

Choose from any of these three locations to experience a slice of true Jamaican life and create vacation memories that will last a lifetime.
